Ellen holds a BS in Interpersonal Communication from East Carolina University and an MA in Counseling from Harding School of Theology.
Ellen has also received specialized training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Telemental Health, Play Therapy, Sex Therapy, and Addictions. She has also received specialized faith-based training in sexuality and gender from The Center for Faith, Sexuality, & Gender.
Ellen is a marriage and family therapist (LMFT #2394) and a provisionally licensed mental health counselor (LCMHCA #A15631) in the state of North Carolina, providing individual, couples, and family therapy.
Ellen enjoys working with couples and families who need help communicating and connecting. She often works with individuals who feel angry all of the time, overwhelmed, stuck, sad, and unworthy.
For over 7 years, Ellen has worked with couples, families, and individuals dealing with grief, anger, depression, anxiety, and trauma.
Ellen has over 10 years of experience working with individuals as a para-professional in a faith-based capacity.
Ellen seeks to walk alongside each client as they strive toward new insights and perspectives that will lend toward healing, renewal, and hope. Ellen is rooted in a systemic lens, drawing from structural, experiential, transgenerational, and humanistic models to connect with her clients.
Ellen is ready to partner with individuals, couples, or families to help forge a healthier way of relating to their past, their pain, and their patterns.
Ellen is a wife and mother. Her favorite pastime is creating memories with her family. She also enjoys reading, traveling, and laughing.
